The American-made Hi-Tech Diamond 8" All-U-Need is a flat lap machine that is one of the best tools for cold working art glass on the market. Grind, shape and polish glass and crystals to make free-form shapes and cabochons for necklaces, earrings, rings and other jewelry pieces. Create polished windows in glass marbles or beads. The All-U-Need also makes the perfect workbench tool for cold glass workers and glass fusers, as it gives your glass projects smooth edges with a professional, finished look. The 8" All-U-Need is lightweight, rustproof and impact-resistant, making it easy to travel with and very portable. Its 1/4 hp, heavy-duty, ball bearing motor is variable speed, delivering speeds from 800rpm to 3,400rpm so you can work at any speed you desire. The clean water system is easy to use, simply fill the top water cup with clean water and control the water flow from a drip to a stream using the on/off valve installed on the water tube. Its simplified drain system allows the dirty, used water to drain out into the included drain cup. The All-U-Need comes with an accessory kit that allows you to work right out of the box. This kit is designed to make easy work of grinding, shaping and polishing glass and crystal. The electroplated diamond discs are easily interchangeable and only require ONE backing plate for all four discs. Accessory kit includes the following: one 8" 360# electroplated diamond disc, one 8" 600# electroplated diamond disc, one 8" 1200# electroplated diamond disc, one 8" 3000# electroplated diamond disc, one 8" Tech-11 polishing pad, one 14,000 mesh diamond paste 2-gram syringe and two 8" acrylic backing plates.
