To successfully grow a Honeycomb Buddleia (Buddleja x weyeriana 'Honeycomb'), plant it in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Prune it back in late winter to encourage flowering and maintain its shape, and remove spent flower spikes to promote further blooming.
- Sunlight: Honeycomb Buddleia thrives in full sun, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily
- Soil: It prefers well-drained soil. While adaptable to various soil types, including clay, it's crucial to avoid waterlogged conditions. Amend heavy clay soil with compost or other organic matter to improve drainage.
- Spacing: Space plants about 5 feet apart to allow for their mature size (5-8 feet wide).
- Planting Time: Plant in spring after the last frost, or until midsummer.
- Watering: Water new plants regularly until established. Established plants only need watering during extended dry periods.
